Friday Night Crochet Club
The repetitive motion of crochet activates the same calming pathways as meditation. Basically, you’re doing yoga with your hands.
The Friday Night Crochet Club isn’t just about yarn and hooks — it’s about weaving together connection, creativity, and community. Once a month, we gather in my home in North Vancouver, BC, to slow down, sip tea, and share stories while our hands move in rhythm with the stitches. Whether you’re brand‑new to crochet or have been looping yarn for years, you’re welcome here.
We meet on the second Friday of every month, 5:45–8:15 pm. Before your first visit, we’ll hop on a quick 15‑minute video call to get to know each other and make sure the space feels right for you. This circle is open to adults of all abilities — anyone from 19 to 99 who’s curious about crochet and conversation.
✨ What to expect each gathering
A new stitch to learn and practice
A monthly theme to spark reflection and authentic conversation
Tea service (herbal and caffeinated) to keep us cozy
Yarn and hooks provided — or bring your own if you prefer
Space to work on your own project if you’d rather skip the stitch of the month
🌿 Evening flow
5:45–6:00 pm → Arrive, settle in, sip tea, and say hello
6:00–6:30 pm → Introductions and reflection on the past month
6:30–7:00 pm → Learn and practice the featured stitch
7:00–8:00 pm → Conversation circle on the monthly theme while we crochet and share tea
8:00–8:15 pm → Pack up, close the circle, and say goodbye
Because time can slip away when we’re in flow, I’ll gently guide us through the evening so we can experience the full rhythm together.
🌸 Our vibe
This is a safe, welcoming space — free from judgment, shame, or blame. Bring your open heart, your authentic self, and trust that you’ll be met with kindness, respect, and genuine connection.
🎉 Seasonal magic
Throughout the year, we’ll sprinkle in special projects: something sweet for Valentine’s, something spooky for Halloween, and something festive for the winter holidays. These playful creations add a little extra joy to our circle.
The gatherings are free of cost, and you can check the posted schedule lower down on this page for the stitches, topics, and dates planned for 2026. Attendance is in person, though if you’ve joined before and can’t make it one month, a virtual option may be arranged so you don’t miss out.
